No matter your temperament, be it goal-driven-list-checker-off-er, or distractible-squirrel-chaser, at some time we have all wasted our lives pursuing the wrong things. This text calls us in for a spiritual check-up with a reminder: Do not waste your life in pursuits that lack eternal value.

As a church, when we think about our Lord and Savior, we can very easily find ourselves focused exclusively on the details of how he accomplished our salvation. While those details are a critical part of knowing God and understanding who Jesus is, we must be careful to watch the scene after the credits too.
